So-so Pearl Studs... (2009-04-24)
Ordered 3 pair of these earrings, to use as gifts. Out of a total of 6 earrings, 2 were not glued completely to the posts, at danger of falling off posts, but these pearls were good, very minor blemishes, almost flawless. Two were very severly blemished on the front, most visible part of the pearls, with many dents and bumps. Two had dark spots, swirls and blemishes, again on the front of the pearls. None were near as pristine as in the picture. The blemishes/dark areas were visible from across the room. The good thing is that the posts and backs were solid and secure. Also, Akoya pearls have a nice, lustrous sheen. Returned for refund, as I would not want to give these as a gift to someone I liked. With Amazon jewelry, it is real hit or miss. I'm glad they are good about returns. Thanks Amazon! Very disappointed.

Cons:
As others have noted, it is very short--> 16" as opposed to 18". I knew this when I bought it thinking it would be a nice "change" for my wife, but she has difficulty wearing it 24/7 like she does her yellow-gold 18" necklace.

Summary:
Be sure this length will work for the recipient before purchasing. A very nice and detailed piece that reflects light nicely and uniformly nor does it get gets kinks easily. Made from mostly gold for those allergic to other metals.

They were a bit smaller than I thought they would be, but once I put them on, I was hooked. I have short hair so they are visible regardless. If you have longer hair, these earring might be hidden.

I'm glad I stumbled upon these - quite by accident. They are a replacement pair for ones my husband bought me that were almost 2" across and made me look like DUMBO.

By reading reviews on that pendant, I knew a replacement chain would be needed, and ordered this. My wife loves it. She is a petite woman, and this fits her perfectly and is the right length and thickness for her. The star pendant I bought looks very nice on it, and I had to order another one of these for her favorite butterfly pendant also. :-)

I love this necklace! I checked at the local jewelry store for a 16" yellow gold necklace and all they had in stock was a 16" white gold for almost $70. The sales clerk said that the yellow gold one would probably be about $40 more when it came in. I compared other chains on the internet and this one looked to be the best value for the gold content and the length. I was right. It's exactly what I wanted. I've only had it for a couple of days, but just comparing it to my other gold chains I can tell it's definitely worth the money spent.

This chain is very small and dainty. It would be good to use with a small, light pendant or charm. For an inexpensive chain, I was glad to see that it had a lobster claw clasp which is not found very often on the less expensive chains. It has a nice luster and hangs nicely around the neck.

Very nice gold chain, sturdy, great for small to medium pendants, also, pretty worn alone. But the other reviewers were right, this chain has a very large round ring on the end which will not fit through most small and some medium pendants. I wish they had oval or smaller rings soldered on. However, a jeweler can fix for a few dollars, annoying, but still a good deal. The other issue is some of these chains are defective, so need to be returned or fixed. Again, annoying, but... Amazon has been good about refunds, replacements aren't always possible, as these are frequently out of stock for extended periods, especially when they are on sale. But for the sale price of around $41, it's still worth it. I have ordered several and would order again.

I got this chain to replace the chain that came with a flower pendant that I reviewed. This chain has a nice sparkle to it and, although it is a small chain, it doesn't seem to tangle easily. The clasp is a common spring ring. Just type in Spring ring clasp in Google and you should be able to find a photo if you don't know what that is.

As the title says above, she loved it.

Here's my thoughts on it.

It had good weight. It was of good quality. And it looked very finished. This is to say that even the back of the piece was taken into consideration (sometimes pendants have sort of this unfinished backing that-to me at least- brings the quality down.)

It should also be noted that this piece is interesting because it is very 3-dimensional and not as flat as it may seem in the photo.

I am happy with this purchase.

Why waste your money on disposable jewelry? I looked at the reviews and did some homework on the diamonds. It turns out that I2-I3 are bottom of the barrell compared to flawless. Add to the fact that the disclosure of treatments,(laser drilling,coatings,baking,radiation, or doublets) and you can very well get a pair that looks even worse as you clean them in your sonic cleaner. I would not advise anyone who knows what to look for in a diamond these earings, or any other that has a warning statement of being treated to enhance clarity. Buyer beware.

I have bought diamonds in the past and have been taken by misleading practices by diamond dealers. It makes me happy to read the unhappy blogs by people taken by buying a diamond for their loved one to find out the stones were lousy and of poor quality. It is good people tell everyone that if it sounds too good to be true it really is. Treated diamonds are a poor choice for anyone. They hold very little resale value and are actually poor grade stones that have been treated to a myriad of options to enhance their clarity and or quality. They can also stop sparkling like they originally have when you initially buy them. I highly recommend you buy the book "How to buy a diamond by Fred Crueller" . You will never again look at diamonds the same again at your local jewelry outlet. Period. Stop being duped by shady marketing scams by jewelers and insist on non treated stones.

These earrings have a beautiful gold color and look so elegant and classy. They are bigger than I expected but after I put them on, they actually look better as big. The only problem is that these earrings come with cheap flimsy backings. Everyone else has complained or bought several pairs in case them lose one. I just went to a jewelry store and had the cheap backings replaced with quality ones that fit snug like they should. It is definitely worth the money if you are willing to go out and replace the backings so you don't lose them. :)

I have bought these and another 7x5m gemstone earrings for my self and the ball size seems bigger in comparison. At the sametime the 7x5m gemstone looked very small. That could be because of the solid gold color along with the ball shape. I also have medium sized ear lobes.
I feel 7m will be good size to wear to work.

I bought the same pair a year ago for a tad bit cheaper and lost one in my car. This time I didn't care if they were more money. I had to buy another pair. They are so multipurpose. They go with anything I wear and especially if you have multiple holes in your ears, I can mix & match them with other earrings. Mostly, I like them as what I'd like to call, `the everyday pair'.

A great updated classic (2009-06-07)
I bought these for myself when on special. I like the depth and detail of the crossing hoops.They are of good quality, shine, and construction. I have a bit of difficulty getting them on as there is a tilt upward curve to the post at the end, but that is not enough to keep me from wearing them. The posts snap into a catch, so they are secure and I do not worry about losing one, as has happened with other earrings. Once on, they are comfortable to wear, and not too heavy in spite of their substantial visual weight. The earrings add a bit of sparkle and contrast against my dark hair, and balance well with my height. But they are not so big that they would look too heavy on someone shorter. I think they are perfectly sized.
They go well with gold and silver jewelry individually, and mixing both, as is done currently in fashion.
I would recommend them to anyone looking for versatile jewelry, and good quality at an affordable price.

These will be terrific everyday earrings. They are quite substantial i.e. are not super small, sit well on the ear, and can be seen easily as crossover earrings through long hair. They look at least as good as the picture. I have seen a lot of hoop-type earrings at major stores, and must say that the fastening post here is better than most and quite sturdy. Shipping was fast, presentation excellent. I am very pleased!

Beautiful gold earrings (2008-12-29)
I wanted a 1" gold hoop and found it with these earrings. The gold is shiny and beautiful. The clasp is solid and stays together. It is hard to find this size hoop. These are replacing a very large pair my husband bought me for Christmas. (They were so huge that I looked like DUMBO!)

These are perfect to wear for dress-up or casual. I wear lot of turtlenecks so was looking for a pair that would not get caught all the time in them. This is the perfect size.

I also have very short hair - so these earrings complement my hair style without overpowering me.

They are also very comfortable - so much so that I sometimes forget I have earrings on.

This ring is what you pay for!! It looks really cheap and with one week of my husband using it was all scrath already!!
